Robson Civil were awarded the project to construct the Woodglen Retire

Robson Civil were awarded the project to construct the Woodglen Retirement Village for Retire Australia, that included 2x 500m3 Detention tanks to manage the new sites Stormwater requirements.

Robson Civil approached Graf to enquire whether our EcoBloc system could offer them an equivalent OSD system incorporating the inspectability and traffic loading to be located beneath the incoming driveway, whilst providing a cost and time saving alternative to the 2x concrete structures originally. Two Onsite Stormwater Detention tanks each with a storage volume exceeding 500m3 were required to control the flow of stormwater from the new Woodglen Retirement Village. One tank was located beneath the incoming driveway with class D grated lids, whereas the second was beneath a pedestrian zone, a landscaped garden area at the back of the complex.

The tank required the ability to be maintained and cleaned so included a perimeter of Graf Ecobloc Inspect Flex channel on the base layer of each tank with two vario shafts in opposite corners for access to conduct maintenance activities. One tank was positioned beneath the driveway with 0.80m of cover, so was required to provide sufficient loading capacity for a the residents vehicles.

The system was completed within 4 weeks by Election 7 • Graf's inhouse Stormwater team completed the detailed design drawings
