Ausco Modular camps were contracted to construct a mine development camp for Rio Tinto mining near Weipa FNQ and required a relocatable wastewater system for their self contained, 32 room workers camp. The camp is located in a very remote position in FNQ with rough 4wd access only, so the system needed to be easily transportable to site, and be able to cope with very harsh conditions. SOLUTION GRAF, in conjunction with Ausco Modular camps provided a container system on a lease basis for the duration of the development phase of this project. Our containerized system produced high quality effluent suitable for the approved above ground sprinkler irrigation area, which was situated over 1 kilometer from the treatment plant.
