CASE STUDY Burleigh, QLD PRODUCT: EcoBloc SMART INSTALLATION PLUMBER: Reece Civil Nerang Civil Consultants Farr Engineers needed a 763m3 Onsite Stormwater Detentio n system for their project at The Ver ge Retirement Village in Burleigh Heads, QLD. The tank needed to be beneath a carpark with minimal cover and an irregular footprint. Hutchinson Builders required a system with a 25-year warranty, RPEQ and Form 15 certification, with maintenance plans and partners in place to provide ongoing service . The Background PROJECT OVERVIEW GRAF’s Stormwater Engineers provided detailed designs of an EcoBloc system. Th e tank was fully trafficable and designed to utilise the full available footprint. Since the surface over the tank was sloped, the tank had to be designed in stepped leve ls to maintain the minimum cover depth throughout. Reece Civil Nerang pro vided a holistic supply and fully welded inst allation package, delivering the client bo th a cost and time saving against a concrete a lternative with a single purchase order.
