Challenge
Silverstone Park, opposite Silverstone Circuit, comprises four industrial buildings with 12 office and warehouse units. Contractors needed long-term flood protection while meeting a council run-off limit of just nine litres per second under continuous lorry traffic.
Solution
GRAF UK designed and installed a 945 m³ EcoBloc Inspect Flex system of five tanks (about 4,458 crates). Same-level inlet and outlet allowed shallow 1.78 m placement with 1,100 mm cover, cutting excavation while retaining 60-tonne lorry-bearing capacity at 800 mm cover per product data cited on the case page.
Outcomes
- 945 m³ attenuation across five modular tanks
- Shallow 1.78 m install depth reduced excavation
- Sized for 1-in-100-year storm plus 20% climate contingency
