01

Challenge

North West Bicester, described as the UK's first eco-town, delivered 91 true zero-carbon homes. A2Dominion needed potable use limited to 80 litres per person per day for Code Level Five, plus flood protection through controlled stormwater release.

02

Solution

Infrastruct CS Ltd and GRAF UK provided each home with a 1,500 L Platin rainwater harvesting tank and Rain Bloc soakaway modules feeding a central soakaway. Submersible pumps lift water to loft header tanks for toilet flushing, with mains backup when tanks are empty.

03

Outcomes

  • 91 homes with packaged Platin + Rain Bloc systems
  • Supports 80 L/person/day potable water target
  • Central soakaway reduces drain pressure and flood risk
