01

Challenge

BMW's Hams Hall plant machines and builds engines for BMW and MINI. Site expansion needed a future-proof attenuation solution that limited excavation and spoil while fitting a complex manufacturing campus.

02

Solution

After a prior successful job, GRAF UK designed, supplied and installed EcoBloc Maxx and EcoBloc Flex attenuation. Calculations allowed a 1.09 m tank depth (slightly deeper than a one-metre brief), cutting footprint by nearly 75 m² and reducing excavation, spoil, backfill and gravel. Stackable crates arrived in five lorry loads.

03

Outcomes

  • Nearly 75 m² smaller footprint versus initial depth concept
  • Five-lorry modular delivery versus bulkier single-piece crates
  • Operational attenuation supporting plant expansion
