Challenge
On a former brickworks site at Spardorf, a new retail and mixed-use centre (about 30,000 m² site) needed to store runoff from 23,000 m² of roofs and paved areas under the carpark without overloading the combined sewer in heavy rain.
Solution
GRAF specialists assembled 1,142 EcoBloc Inspect 420 modules on site into a two-layer retention body (published cubature 38.40 m × 9.60 m × 1.32 m) storing 479,640 L, wrapped in geotextile and 2 mm HDPE. Four Vario 800 shafts are integrated. Discharge is throttled to up to 27 L/s.
